I started playing trivia with co-workers in 2018.  We had a blast but I typically left frustrated with the quality of the event.  Too many questions seemed either mind-numbingly easy or wildly obscure and niche.  Furthermore, the host lacked preparation, showed indifference to guests, and his music selection was garbage seemed out of place. 

At that time, I was a High School Teacher. My job was to keep groups of largely absentminded high schoolers engaged in my class. There are parallels between being an engaging Teacher and a Fun Trivia Host.  I distinctly remember a conversation with my friends about how I could improve the format and presentation of our trivia night.  As good friends do, they told me to PROVE IT! Little did I know, that would set me on the path to starting Big 5 Trivia and eventually quitting my teaching job. 

My goal is for each trivia night to be as entertaining as possible!  I write all of my questions and edit the clips for the Crowd Favorite “Sound Round” each week. I’m on a mission to to bring people together in the name of supporting local business.  I hope you enjoy it and bring more of your friends to play!
